What has to happen before a PGIMER report can appear online?
The official PGIMER page describes the report journey before the online login step. First, the doctor fills the test forms. Paying patients deposit the applicable fees where required; non-paying patients do not follow that payment step. Samples are then collected at the sampling counters or laboratories.
PGIMER says that for most tests, reports generally take about 1–3 days to become available. This is a general statement from the hospital page, not a guarantee for every test.
How to check a PGIMER lab report online
- Wait for the test to be processed.For most supported tests, PGIMER says online availability commonly takes about 1–3 days.
- Open the official PGIMER Lab Reports page.Make sure the browser address is on
pgimer.edu.in. - Enter the CR Number.The CR Number identifies the PGIMER patient record. Do not enter it on this independent guide.
- Select “Generate OTP.”If supported reports are ready, PGIMER says an OTP is sent to the mobile number registered with the patient record.
- Enter the OTP on the PGIMER page.The OTP should remain private and should never be sent to a third-party website or person claiming to retrieve the report.
- Open the available report.The current service says supported reports for tests conducted in the last 30 days can be viewed online.
Which PGIMER labs are listed for online OPD reports?
The current PGIMER report page specifically names the following laboratories for this online OPD workflow:

PGIMER also notes that more laboratories may be added in the future. Therefore, do not assume that every PGIMER investigation must appear in this particular online interface.
What if the report is not available online?
An absent result does not automatically mean that the test was not done or that something is wrong with the result. Several practical explanations are possible: the report may still be processing, the laboratory may not be supported by this online workflow, the test may fall outside the current online window, or there may be a patient-record/mobile issue.
No OTP is arriving
First confirm that you are using the correct CR Number and that the hospital has the correct registered mobile number. Do not repeatedly share the CR Number with third parties. Use PGIMER’s current support/reception route if the registered mobile needs to be corrected.
The OTP arrives but no report is shown
The online page only covers supported reports and a defined recent period. Check the timing, laboratory and the alternative guidance linked by PGIMER for unavailable online reports.
My test was done more than 30 days ago
The current online report page is labelled for reports from the last 30 days. Older records may require a different hospital route.
The report opens as a PDF
PGIMER states that a PDF reader is needed to view the downloaded report. Keep the file private because it contains patient information.
Important note about downloaded PGIMER reports
PGIMER’s current page states that downloaded reports are computer-generated and do not require a signature. It also states that these downloaded reports are not valid for medico-legal purposes. If you need a report for a legal, insurance, employment or other formal use, confirm the required document format with the relevant authority or PGIMER rather than assuming the downloaded copy is sufficient.
Protect the CR Number and OTP
We do not ask for or process CR Numbers, OTPs, PDFs, Aadhaar numbers or medical records. The only place you should enter the report credentials is the official PGIMER service.
